Diamonds Shine Bright at Crown’s Palladium

This year’s Diamonds was another stand-out night at Crown Palladium, with 1500 women uniting for an unforgettable night to support children living with cancer.

Stepping in for the unwell Jacqui Felgate, two-time Logie winner Tom Gleisner and the charismatic Kris Smith served as the masters of ceremonies, keeping our guests in fits of laughter throughout the night. Accompanying their wit was a lineup of captivating performances, including Transit Dance, Australian rock sensation Rogue Traders, and Velvet Corporation, all electrifying the audience. There was always a moment in time to celebrate and enjoy.

Beyond the glitz and glamour, our guest speaker, Natalie Jacotine, and her daughter, Chelsea, shed light on Natalie’s life as a Challenge mother. The emotional video captured the very essence of the evening. It shone as a symbol of hope, helping unite thousands of women to empower one another and support other mothers travelling similar journeys.

Another highlight of this year’s event was honouring Nadia Nickels as our 2023 Diamond of the Year. Nadia’s personal journey with a child diagnosed with cancer has provided her with an understanding and insight that she now passes onto with other families in her role as a volunteer. Nadia is a familiar and friendly face around the Challenge office, always sharing her time, resources, and energy simply because she believes in helping others. Nadia is a very deserving winner, and we feel so grateful to have her as part of our community. And not to mention, she is also a very talented chef!

Each year, with the support of Sol’s Diamonds, one lucky lady walks away with a fantastic diamond from the highly anticipated Diamonds raffle. This year’s winner was Sarah, winning the spectacular 18ct white gold diamond pendant valued at $12,990. Congratulations, Sarah!

Diamonds would not be possible without the extraordinary community of sponsors, supporters, volunteers, and the incredible women who attend. We extend our special thanks to our sponsors, including Bed Bath N’ Table, Crown, Encore, Treasury Wine Estates, Sol’s Diamonds, Cosmetic & Laser Dentistry Centre, Jayco, Masci Hair & Spa, Elly Lukas, Hairhouse, Noel Jones, Roof-Resto, Active Draping, Volter International, Botanical Events, Show FX, Greenevent, Southern Impact, and The Watch Factory. And finally, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to the remarkable Women for Challenge Committee. Your tireless work, unwavering commitment, and desire to make a difference in the lives of other women are inspiring.
